& South East NSW
When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it can have a devastating impact on families. As well as the uncertainty and fear, there’s added stress for families who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs.
Without your support, we would be unable to keep our doors open to families in need 365 days a year. Thanks to the public, we’ve been able to continually expand our operations to help more families.
Scroll below to find out how you can help us continue to support families when they need it most.
Leo's Story
Leo’s mum and dad, Rachel and Roger, were told at their 12 week prenatal scan that their baby had gastroschisis, which meant that Leo’s bowels were forming on the outside of his stomach.
Rachel’s water’s broke early and was on a flight from their home town in Griffith to travel 424km to Canberra where Leo was born and within hours he had his first of 5 operations.
After 153 nights at Ronald McDonald House the family finally were able to return home.
