About our Charity
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) ACT & South East NSW is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital Programs for families with seriously ill or injured children.
Our Ronald McDonald House Canberra, Canberra Family Room, and our Bateman's Bay Family Retreat provide a home-away-from-home to get support, relax and recharge, or spend meaningful bonding time together, for families that are going through the difficult journey of childhood illness, premature births, or serious childhood injuries.
With your support, we can continue to help families when they need it the most. Make a difference by getting involved today.

A 153 Night Long Stay at Ronald McDonald House Canberra
Leo came into the world at just 35 weeks, his mum Rachel flown to Canberra from their hometown in Griffith 424kms away, after Rachel's water broke early.
Leo’s mum and dad, Rachel and Roger, were told at their 12 week prenatal scan that their baby had gastroschisis, which meant that Leo’s bowels were forming on the outside of his stomach.
Within hours of being born, Leo had his first of 5 major operations. For almost 6 months, he stayed hospitalised. During this time, his mum and dad were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House located within the Hospital, close to their son.
