You can give sanctuary & hope to families like Apolloh's

The Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Canberra Hospital, provided critical support during the toughest journey.

And with your help, we can support more familie's like Apolloh's.

When Raimond and Kate learned they were expecting their first child, their hearts were full of joy and anticipation. But their world shifted in an instant when baby Apolloh arrived four months early—tiny, fragile, and fighting for every breath in the NICU.

Exhaustion turned to hope at RMHC Family Room

For seven months, Raimond and Kate lived in a cycle of worry and exhaustion, visiting Apolloh daily while juggling commutes and hospital hallways.

They were physically drained, finically strained and emotionally worn, and starting to lose hope of finding even a moment of peace.

Then one evening, a nurse gently suggested they visit the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

What they found there was more than a warm meal—it was a lifeline.

Apolloh''s family found sanctuary in the Family Room

The Family Room gave them more than just a place to rest. It gave them connection, kindness, and community. Volunteers became friends. Other parents became shoulders to lean on. In that space, far from the cold beeping of hospital monitors, they felt seen—and supported

We just feel human again - RMHC Family Room

For families like Raimond and Kate’s, these quiet acts of care make a world of difference. They didn’t have to worry about food, fuel, or finding a moment of comfort. They could focus entirely on what mattered most: being there for Apolloh.

“Caring for a critically ill child is something no parent should have to do alone,” Raimond says. “The Family Room gave us the strength to keep going.”

You can be part of that strength.

Every dollar donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities helps keep families close during the most frightening, fragile moments of their lives. Your support provides warm meals, safe spaces, vital resources—and most importantly, hope.

Because no family should ever have to face their child’s health battle alone.
