What is The Red Wig Challenge?

The Red Wig Challenge is a virtual fundraising event where people come together and run, walk or ride to raise money for seriously ill children. Track all your Km’s using our partner apps; Strava, Fitbit & Mapmyrun, and raise much needed funds along the way.

When is the Red Wig Challenge?

The Red Wig Challenge will be from the 1st to the 30th of November 2021.

What is a virtual event?

Virtual events are a new, and improved way of taking part in physical activity. Instead of walking or running on one day in a large group, virtual events give you the ability to do this in your own time with whomever you like.


Can I start a team with friends, family, or colleagues?

Yes! In fact, we encourage you too. Creating a team for the Red Wig Challenge is a fun way to stay connected with colleagues or loved ones during these physically distanced times. It is easy to register, select, create, and join a team. Just think of a fun team name, start recruiting your team members and get moving for a common cause!

How do I create a team?

Just click the ‘Sign Up’ button, follow the instructions on screen, and choose if you would like to create or join a team when you get to the ‘Create Your Page’ step.

How do people sponsor me/my team?

Simply follow the steps when signing up to create your fundraising page. Your fresh new fundraising page is your new best friend! Supporters can directly sponsor and donate to you or your team through this page.

Where do the funds I’ve raised go?

All funds raised will go directly to supporting seriously ill children and their families using Ronald McDonald House Charities ACT and South East NSW programs.
